Call for Speakers: Share your Expertise at the DBIA Rocky Mountain Regional Conference!
May 1st, 2025 - Embassy Suites Downtown Denver
DBIA Rocky Mountain Region builds the bridge between today and tomorrow. By pushing the boundaries on project design and construction, providing advocacy and support to further the cause, and attracting professionals who harness change, we are shaping the future for collaboration and raising the bar for innovative design-build thinking to create long-lasting industry impact.
We want to hear from YOU!
With design-build expanding through our industry sectors, we’re inviting experts to share project experience, insights and industry trends to advance the future of design-build delivery. We are seeking 9 presentations and panels on the following topics:
- Case Studies of Projects: Share your experiences and lessons learned from recent design-build projects. Highlight unique aspects, technical hurdles, innovative solutions, successes, and areas for improvement. Please note that this conference is centered on design-build. Case studies should be limited to design-build projects. While non-case study presentations may reference other project delivery methods, they should emphasize elements that reflect design-build best practices.
- Industry Trends and Evolution: Explore the latest in design-build and Progressive Design-Build practices, engineering advancements, and supply chain management.
- Collaboration and Integration: Share strategies for early engagement, effective team collaboration, communication, and team integration.
- Public and Private Sector Engagement: Dive into effective Owner relationships, innovative financing, and procurement methodologies.
- Technology and Innovation: Cover cutting-edge technologies like VDC, BIM, and AI, and discuss preconstruction and estimating advancements.
- Sustainability and Resiliency: Discuss design-build’s role in meeting sustainability and resiliency goals, especially in crisis scenarios.
- Leadership, Professional Performance and Workforce Development: Present on essential soft skills such as leadership, mentorship, negotiation, conflict resolution, and workforce retention in the evolving AEC landscape.
How to Submit:
- Abstract: Provide a summary (250-300 words) of your proposed presentation. Abstracts should describe the key elements of the presentation and what the attendees will gain from the discussion. Please list four learning objectives, anticipated presenter(s) and credentials, and the format for your presentation (lecture, workshop, panel discussion, or other format). Owner participation in case studies is encouraged. Please note the overall length of the presentation should be 45 - 60 minutes.
