To acknowledge and celebrate the most outstanding Design-Build projects in the Rocky Mountain Region by promoting and recognizing the use and efficiency of Design-Build as a project delivery method.
As the first professor in the University of Utah's Construction Engineering Program, Abbis Rashidi has been a strong advocate of Design-Build as a project delivery method. Since 2017, he has worked closely with members of the DBIA Utah Chapter to create curriculum, encourage research projects and collaboration with local construction companies, and promote the formation of a DBIA Utah Student Chapter. He is optimistic as he educates and mentors a new generation into the bright future of the Design-Build project delivery approach.
