As an active Project Executive, she has overseen the delivery of more than $10 billion in design solutions for the built environment. Rod Pope has over 44 years of consulting engineering experience focused on Collaborative Delivery of wastewater and infrastructure projects. Rod is a Vice President with Brown and Caldwell. He is a PE in multiple states and a Fellow DBIA.

Sean Timmins is a Colorado native who graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Construction Management. He has 18 years of Water Infrastructure project experience from the Field to the Board Meeting. Dams, Plants, Pump Stations and Pipelines, they are all his passion and expertise. He is currently a Senior Project Manager at Archer Western.

Travis Stevens is the Operations Group Leader for the Kennedy/Jenks Colorado office. His experience includes the design and permitting for wastewater and water treatment plant improvements, lift stations, and water and wastewater distribution/collection system improvements. His passions are fly fishing and ice fishing (for the hardcore angling enthusiasts out there).

Mr. Carroll's experience centers on the tunneling and underground industry, mechanized excavation, ventilation, fire life safety, earth mechanics, alignment selection, condition assessment and rehabilitation. He has contributed to both preliminary and detailed design of tunnels in rock and soft ground, above and below the ground water table. This work has included the planning and implementation of geotechnical investigations to provide for the selection of vertical and horizontal tunnel alignments and the best available excavation means, including; conventional drill and blast, use of a Tunnel Boring Machine, horizontal directional drilling, auger boring, pipe ramming, microtunneling and SEM. Along with tunnel design Mr. Carroll is knowledgeable with the design and construction of deep shafts for construction, future access, ventilation, fire life safety systems in underground spaces, odor control of sanitary systems and hydraulic drop structures. Mr. Carroll has 18 years’ experience as Tunneling Engineer and is certified as a FHWA NHI Tunnel Safety Inspector.

Mark had great interest in construction as a youngster which led to his entering a technical high school (Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) and earning his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering at Lehigh University. He also earned a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University. Mark was the Founding President of the Water Collaborative Delivery Association starting in 2005 and currently services as the Executive Director.

Katie is an Engineering Supervisor with the City and County of Denver with over 15 years of experience in the Engineering industry. Trained as a structural engineer, Katie has spent her professional career influencing the built environment with both vertical and horizontal projects. She excels at facilitating collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring budget adherence, and delivering projects on time and within specifications. Katie is a PE, a certified LEED AP, and holds a Master's degree in Structural Engineering.

Ryan is an Engineering Manager with the City and County of Denver with over 16 years of experience in the Engineering industry. Ryan has always had an interest in building things and has spent most of his career focused on the construction side of projects. With a solid foundation in water resources, Ryan has transitioned his expertise to focus on enhancing transportation systems. Thriving in leadership roles, Ryan has guided teams to successful project completion while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Ryan is a PE, certified LEED AP, and DBIA accredited professional.

Deb Turner is Senior Engineering Manager with the Transportation Business Unit at City and County of Denver. She has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado with over 24 years of project delivery and program management experience with 16 years in municipal government. Her experience leading teams for the City of Thornton and for the City of Denver is a proven track record of leading project teams throughout the full life cycle of time critical and complex construction projects. She is a recognized leader with the ability to lead cross functional teams from project/program conception to completion.

Joshua J Sletten, SE is the Deputy Director of Project Development for UDOT. Josh has 22 years of experience delivering transportation projects, including 13 years as a consultant where he managed or helped lead several design-build and CMGC projects. In his current role, he oversees all preconstruction and project management activities at UDOT. He also helps to oversee projects delivered by alternative methods, including design-build, progressive design-build, and CMGC.

Logan Whitehead has been working in the Highway/Transportation engineering and construction industry since 2012. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2014, working as a roadway design engineering consultant. His involvement in large, complex Design-Build projects drew him to construction. He began working at Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction in 2018, tasked with leveraging design data for cost estimating and constructability analysis and coordinating design throughout preconstruction. Today, Logan leads a group of engineers, advancing design/construction integration and managing preconstruction on multiple alternative delivery projects and pursuits.

Scot Grossman is a Project Manager with two decades of experience in Civil Design and Construction, Government Procurement, Alternative Delivery Methods, Construction Management, Environmental Permitting, Land Conservation, Real Estate Contracts, and Community Engagement. He has spent the last 14 years working for Jefferson County Open Space, currently serving as the Project Management Supervisor. In this role, Scot is responsible for overseeing design and construction of all the organization's capital improvement projects. Most notably, he has been the Project Manager for the Peaks to Plains Trail since its inception. Scot specializes in efficiently navigating all aspects of a project’s lifecycle – from concept to ribbon cutting. Scot’s projects have won numerous awards around the country, and he prides himself on taking part in projects that will long outlive him. Scot holds a Master of Urban Planning degree, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. In his free time, you can find him skiing, hiking, cooking delicious meals without following recipes, and otherwise exploring the outdoors.

Matt’s understanding and proven solutions to multi-disciplinary issues and constraints on complex design projects (construction, design, permitting, political, and financial) are demonstrated in his successful project oversight of CEI’s high- profile projects such as Clear Creek Canyon Park segments. His employs a polished and effective communication approach that inclusively engages all types of audience to work transparently with his project teams. Matt’s civil construction career provides him unique and diverse project and quality control oversight for multi-phased, large- scale partnering. His leadership is vital to CEI serving as a mentor while overseeing that the company’s projects are efficiently managed using best practices for effective project approach and delivery.

Steve brings more than 28 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of roadway improvement projects. Since joining Muller, he has served as Project Manager, Design Manager, and Roadway Lead on more than 20 urban, rural, and interstate reconstruction projects. Steve has served as design manager on multiple alternative delivery projects, including both CM/GC and Progressive Design-Build, including the Peaks to Plains Trail: Gateway to Huntsman Segment.

Jonathan Popiel was the Design Build Project Manager for the Colorado Convention Center Expansion Project. He oversaw all aspects of the project from initial concept to substantial completion. Jonathan has been employed with Hensel Phelps for 22 years and is a graduate with a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Colorado. His resume includes over $1.6B of construction, and includes the United flight training center, Elizabeth Hotel, Pena Station, and the Colorado Convention Center.

John Courtney is a Program Director at the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure with the City and County of Denver. He graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 2007 with a degree in Engineering. His 17 year career in the design and construction industry began in the San Francisco Bay Area and includes experience as an owner, project management consultant, and general contractor. Outside the office, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters as well as exploring the Rocky Mountains.

Justin Hughes is a Principal at TVS. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Structural) from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Architecture from Clemson University. Regardless of the project type or scope, Justin is always seeking the most elegant solution to the multitude of functional challenges arising during the life of a project. Jordan Miller is an associate principal for Rider Levett Bucknall. She has 12 years of experience in the construction industry and specializes in convention center and entertainment venue projects of varying scales including new build, renovation, and expansion. She has extensive knowledge of construction procurement, cost forecasting, financial reporting, and overall project management. She prepares cost estimates at each stage of the project along with cost reduction studies and alternative design analysis. Dr. Rebecca Albert Vollrath serves as the Director of CTE, Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator, and Safety and Security Director in Weld RE-5J School District (Johnson/Milliken). A dedicated professional who is passionate about empowering all students to succeed, her leadership, vision, and actions have led to a significant expansion of postsecondary readiness programming and participation across the district. Dr. Albert Vollrath transitioned from her role as a high school administrator to her current role as the district was building Roosevelt High School, a campus focused around CTE. In addition to coordinating with industry professionals, community members, district administrators, and school administrators, she was the liaison for much of the building project — working closely with the design-build team to ensure the expanded programming would meet the needs of students and the community now and into the future. Her resourcefulness in securing grants and other funding saved the district money while enabling the district to maximize student options.

Anthony began as an intern with AP in 2006. Since that time, he’s been instrumental in AP’s success serving in preconstruction, client development and operations roles. He currently leads Preconstruction activities for our Mountain States region and resides just a couple miles away from the successful Roosevelt High School project. Anthony is an adept design-build manager and knows the ins and outs of pricing projects for successful outcomes. When it comes to Preconstruction, he is a subject matter expert with innovative solutions. He mentors within the department, growing the next generation of AP preconstruction leaders. In addition to his role, Anthony has a passion for K-12 building. He’s an advocate of providing educational experiences that help prepare students for life success. He serves on multiple school foundation boards to help educators achieve goals through proactive facility advocacy. Often design-build solutions are a great way for him to help ensure districts achieve their goals.

Scott is a principal leading the PK-12 Education studio at TreanorHL, which designs schools that foster the leaders of tomorrow. He believes that architecture supports the health and growth of our future, and that future is our children. Having worked at TreanorHL since 2001, Scott is a well-respected member of the team and an enthusiastic contributor to the collaborative energy that leads to strong projects. He is a holistic architect that emphasizes the synergy between planning, design, and detailing. Scott strives for exceptional relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors by holding their thoughts and needs at a high level of importance. As the lead planner, designer, and architect for Roosevelt High School, Scott has been able to work on exciting new ways architecture is supporting students of the next generation and beyond. Brian is an executive-level manager of projects for AP. He’s been involved in some of our most complex projects including a design-build geothermal project for Colorado State University. He’s an advocate for design-build as it helps avert challenges late in the construction process. He believes that design-build allows for thorough collaboration and complete design documents that achieve trade partner buy-in at an early stage, allowing for projects to progress with minimal delays or field challenges. In over a quarter-century with AP, his experience has helped to drive results. He takes client satisfaction seriously and works to apply procedures and processes among staff and partners to ensure project success.

A fourth-generation builder, Scarlett grew up in the industry. She left the family contracting business in 2019, joining AP after a successful joint venture between the two firms. Her 15 years in the industry have taught her a great deal from preconstruction to project management. Adept at building consensus, Scarlett utilized the design-build process to help Weld RE-5J School District succeed. Her innovative management of the day-to-day project activities ensured streamlined communication, documentation, and above-all collaborative success. Scarlett is one of those people who drive team success through silent, and at times not-so-silent, support and determination. She’ll talk to you about some of her best design-build project management tools and walk you through some of the project challenges she seeks to overcome through early intervention.

Her mission is to construct healing environments that provide an incomparable patient experience and to be a clinical advocate in the design phase. Ashley is also passionate about making consistent improvements with production of work and thinking outside the box to provide solutions to keep projects progressing. Ashley has implemented $190 million in IPD construction projects.

An experienced electrical engineer and project manager with 20 years of experience specializing in hospital design. She is passionate about teaching our industry ways to work better together by focusing on a people-first culture through speaking on IPD delivery methods. Nicole is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE), holds a Certificate of Management in Lean Construction (CM-Lean), and has worked on various IPD project teams successfully delivering over $275M in construction projects.
